What is an appropriate gift for a host family in another country?
I’ll be going to France in 2 days and I need to find a gift. I was thinking about buying an American Cookbook, but I’m not sure what they’ll think of that. I know a lot of French people like Americans, but some don’t and I want to make a good impression. What do you think would be an appropriate gift for them?
I can’t ask the family. I don’t know them. And why would I ask the family if I did? It’s a gift, it’s a surprise.
