Taste of Home Banana Split Cheesecake recipe?
I’m looking for a recipe that was in Taste of Home or Quick Cooking somewhere between 1999-2002. It was a baked cheesecake made in a 9×13 pan (not using a mix, this was real cheesecake). When it was cooled, you topped it with your choice of sundae toppings. It was so good I had the recipe taped to the inside of my cabinet door. But that was years ago and I’ve lost it. I can’t find it on the publication’s website. Any subscribers with back issues or the annual cookbook that can help me out?.
BANANA SPLIT CHEESECAKE
2 cups HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
3 (8 ounce) packages PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 cup halved strawberries
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 banana, sliced, tossed with lemon juice
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix graham crumbs, butter and 1/4 cup of sugar. Press onto bottom of 13×9-inch baking pan.
Mix cream cheese, remaining 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; mix just until blended. Stir in mashed banana. Pour over crust.
Bake 30 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight. Cut into squares. Top with strawberries, sliced banana and pineapple.
