How do I BBQ a large steak?
I've tried and tried and tried! It's too little too bloody and over done and dry! Thanks for the tips! OMG-Thanks for all the great tips in 12 minutes! A special HI! John Doe! lol
There are plenty of factors that may be leading to their dilemma. Cut of meat, thickness is, how hot the coals are, and how close the meat is hot. The best advice I can give is to not mess with the meat too once you get to the grill. Most of my experience is with the eye of the rib. This is important, some cuts of meat are not doing well on the grill. Ask your butcher / Meat cutter for the council. What I do is to increase the coal in the medium / medium-high heat. Get a Nice Sear on both sides of meat, then go down the coal with low, close cover, and leave it alone for 15 minutes or less. Check the meat by pressing on it, cut it or stab it. Also, turn the meat with tongs rather of a fork. You want to keep all the juices from there and make holes in the outter layer seared Nice defeats this purpose. There is some trial and error, but once the idea of the shape of your grill is hot, and the cut of meat should be fine. … Also, the key point. Let your steaks set for about 5-10 after cooking. This allows take over the kitchen, and also allows juics to soak back into the meat. Cut a fillet of grilled right lets all delicious juics out and end like a puddle on the plate.
