What to make for my American Girl Doll Kirsten?

I love my American Girl Doll Kirsten and I love to make things! I have already found a website with the patterns for her clothes, and I own the craftbook and have the cookbook out of the library. I am also going to visit my good friend soon and she has Elizabeth and an American Girl of today. Any ideas are welcome! Thanks!
P.S. I am also going camping soon and it would really fun to make some camping stuff for her!

clothes, furniture from cardboard boxes covered with fabric or patterned scrapbook paper. My daughter made a rag rug from a loom kit but you can tear strips of rag into 2″ strips and braid them together making a loooongg braid, then stich the braid into a spiraling circle. Very authentic to the kind of thing a girl like Kirsten might have done. We’ve also made play food out of sculpy clay. Now THAT was a fun project that wasn’t too expensive and kids can make really nice things from Sculpy. We’ve made cheeseburgers, french fries, & cookies but you can make something more Kirsten-ish.
Another fun project was making a doll closet. I took a box (mine was about 12″ deep, 12″ high, and 24″ long), turned it onto its side, added a dowel rod near the top and made “Kit’s Closet”. We painted the outside and made doll sized posters in the inside from pictures downloaded online and printed out to about 4″x6″. We keep a couple of kid-size shoeboxes in the bottom for accesories/shoes and the dowel rod is for hangars. Beats the $200 closets you buy from AG store. We also turned an unused small bookshelf into a doll house; just took out the shelf and used paper and fabric for window, curtains, rug. Have fun!
