What is the book of Healthy Recipes for quick BEST inexpensive but delicious Family Recipes?
I have a child of school age and a toddler and a husband who could eat a horse. We usually have stews, pasta, lasagne in winter and summer barbecues. I have to prepare something new and I was confused about the 100s of cookbooks out there. Can anyone suggest any books???

Most recipes use simple ingredients you can get before time and store in the freezer, such as pre cooked chicken strips. Frozen or cut onions and green peppers in a bag, rather than suggesting that you buy a pepper and onion and take the time to cut, and then make the extra dishes. I really appreciate this feaures of new cookbooks, I'm finding in the library. Jyl Steinbeck also has a Slow Cooker (crockpot) cookbook. Money and time SAVING TIP: Many of the recipes can be made quickly with pre-cooked chicken strips you buy at the store, in the case of meat in vacuum bags (Tyson does). It is absolutely cheaper to buy fresh raw boneless skinless Chicken breasts, especially when on sale, and cooking in advance and freeze them. Last month, our local shop had breast boneless, skinless on sale for $ 1.99 a pound, so I bought 15 pounds, and sliced into strips and cubes all seasoned part of it, left some friction for the baby, and cooked it in Pam in the skillet. Once cooled as measured in 2 cup portions in plastic bags and stored for future use in casseroles, chicken salad and chicken helper. This has been a time saver!
