How to cook the raw chicken breasts in a Slow Cooker?
I like to have cooked chicken breasts on hand to cut and pull in pastas, salads, etc. I love my slow cooker, but I've only cooked chicken breasts in sauce before. Obviously, I can not throw them dry there, right? So, How to cook the raw chicken breasts in a slow cooker?
Brine first. Soak in a mixture of salt 1 quart water 1 / 4 cup salt table (or 1 / 2 cup kosher salt) for 3-4 hours or overnight. Then throw them in the slow cooker on low with some broth low sodium chicken and a little butter. They will be great for pasta, salads, etc, and there is no condiments that might conflict with any dish you are doing.
