Is it possible to use Olive Oil in a Deep Fryer?
We are here, but really feel like a diet French fries. My husband suggested borrow a fryer and using our own fresh potatoes cooked in olive oil to treat occasionally. Does that work? Oh, my God, I never thought in that – a point behind smoking. We have never used a deep fryer so this is foreign territory for me. Cook in oven qith a layer of olive oil is a much best.
Olive oil has a low smoking point and is not recommended for frying. If you have French fries, try this: Cut a Russet potatoes into wedges. Sprinkle with olive oil and season with some salt. Preheat oven to 450. Place potatoes in a baking pan, cookie sheet will work, and bake until are tender. Try to warm up before the tray of potatoes, this will make for crispy potatoes.
