How do I start a fire in a wood stove without wood? HELP ASAP.?
I'm trying to start a fire in our wood stove, but I have no firewood. We have wood and some are small and some large, but not to light. I live in the woods with a pile of sticks around. So how I start a fire and keep it going?
start with sheets of newspaper. times in half and then twist up like trying to water ring of them.about 5 or 6 of them and put them in a pile in the center of the stove. some dry wood on matches with 6 "long. so thin they can eat enough to fill 2 cans furnace is placed in the top of the paper. then split to put some records on the back and sides. open baffles so many of the current air through the stove. Light the paper and close the door. in 10 minutes must be going great. stem the flow of air to stop burning when it is burning. only need to put more records in keeping them running. if you begin to slowly open the air supply.
