What is the best temperature and time to cook a steak flat iron plate?
Having a flat slab of iron steak I'd like to cook in the oven, objected to the grill or frying pan. Usually my filet mignon bake for 1 hour at 350 or so and I like it that way. How long is appropriate for an iron, its 8oz, and I would say thank you 1 / 2 inch to 3 / 4 inch thick. And thanks any other suggestions.
Do not use time as a indicator when it becomes flesh. If I were you, I brown the meat in a skillet and finish in oven at 350 ° F. Check after 10 minutes .. Everything depends on how you like. 130 is rare, 145 is medium sized and 155 is well done. Check with a Meat Thermometer.
