How can I organize my recipes for meal planning and shopping as simple and painless as possible?
I am a mother overwhelmed stressed 4 and rarely have meals planned in advance. I have some good cookbooks, and I know they are excellent sources of recipes online, however, increasingly I want to plan meals, I forage through books and takes soooooo long and I get overwhelmed. It would be impossible to put all the Recipes From books to software. I'm at a loss! Any advice would be appreciated! How to plan meals?
If you have 4 children, then you've been cooking for awhile. To begin with easy, I would sit and make a list of everything that has been cooked, can cook, like to eat. Try to separate the list into categories such as soups, chicken, meat, egg, favorites, and others. When you've made your list, I think you might be surprised what you have and how much he likes and knows how to do easily. # 2, look at the schedule or calendar and see how many appointments or commitments you have and on what days. These are the days you know you will need something very quick and easy. Begin to complete the copy of the calendar with something you know is fast – nothing at this time (before, could be: tomato soup w Grilled Cheese, or frozen chicken parts or Weiners Mac and cheese, nachos, etc etc) # 3 On the day that sales of groceries are in the paper are usually the day I do my menu. Ex: if they pork chops on sale, after a night we BBQ pork chops, sweet potato or baked reg and green beans, the next night would have a rice or fried pork chops pork mushroom soup baked in the oven and served over mashed potatoes or whatever. The next night might be necessary Quickie – the night that oven breakfast baked French bread or pancakes or pigs in a blanket. Write these ideas down, and move on. After you Make Your menu, review, adapt, etc., write what you need at the store, sale items and items necessary to fill around the main entrance, plus reg items such as shampoo, cereals, etc. Never pull this list – at least for a few months. You may want to refer to it as refine and adjust over time. Very soon you will know that once a month need 12 rolls toilet paper and 2 bottles of shampoo, etc. Keep a running list on the fridge to take the 'last bottle or backup of May' the pantry, replacing and putting him on the fridge, you will never forget something. And so on and so forth. If the store not only has the chops pork, Ground Beef but also for sale, to incorporate in the menu. , Ie bread, meat, spend two hours and 4 pounds of ground beef, make the meatballs that would be about 100 meatballs. Use 25 for food at night in making them, (4-5 per person) and freeze the other 75 in 3 packages for later use in the recipe (as Meatballs, a once a week during the month – will have 4 meals and ready!) Some ideas to use would be the Swedish meatballs / strogonaff, barbecue. sweet sour, Italian w / spaghetti, meatballs and green beans stew .. Do you have something like green peppers on sale? Use them.Stuffed if they have peppers green peppers for sale, pepper steak and potatoes, eggs? see recipes so you can reach that are creative, different and good … omlets ie Stratta, souffles, Dutch baby pancakes, etc. # 4 Keep on going like this until the week or two weeks or several months fills the sale If you know the chicken is good, then you can spend some time on the web or looking through cookbooks chicken ideas. It is overwhelming not know what you want to cook and watch thousands of ideas and recipes, and perhaps that is not solved by Available in store or at a high price during the week. See photo cookbooks to give some ideas and do this when they have not eaten. Always good to sit and do this when you hungry! # 5 is that you have saved time, energy, effort and money by taking some time to do this. I promise. Also, keep a few things in the refrigerator or pantry for unexpected day or when you simply do not have the energy for cooking and debris are gone. Spinach, like a pizza or hamburger buns chicken and spinach, etc. Need more help? Just write for more ideas. I am a big supporter and believer in planning and menus. I hope helped! # 6 At the end, a Once you've done that, though long in the beginning, you can then turn the menu, use the same every month and then choose one or two days a month, when the "experiment" with a new recipe and so on. Very soon it will be a professional and I wonder why he did before. Wa sit just a magazine Once a month, it might even be fun and something I hope to do. Involve children as they grow, like cutting the lettuce, carrot and celery making, etc.. Click that is fun, and make it a challenge. If your budget is, 100.00 a week, using only things for sale and managing their time, see how much you can save. Put the difference in a jar and mark "for the movie Night" or "mama fund new clothes, etc. I wonder how things go! I'm excited know how you do.
