how do i clean the bottom of a Non Stick iron?
i have a non stick iron, but whilst ironing, certain fabrics have stuck to the bottom of the iron which sometimes transfers onto other fabrics and ruins them. this happens even tho i keep the iron at the correct temp for that particular fabric.does anyone know how to get rid of this black residue without scraping and ruining the iron?
You can clean the soot of the iron off (when cold) by making a baking soda paste and using a little elbow grease and a rag or paper towel.
Baking soda acts as a mild abrasive, will help you to clean off the crap from the iron without scratching it. (I also use this to clean my curling iron as the hairspray tends to make that appliance really cruddy as well.)
