i need help cooking a turkey?
okay, me and my husband are doing a little mini thanksgiving in a couple of weeks for friends since we wont be able to spend actual thanksgiving with them. i want to free up my oven for pies and other things. i have one of those big oval crockpots. i never attempted it but i had a recipe for it but now i cant find it. does anyone have any good recipes for this?
First you will need 3 day in the frig. to thaw if frozen. get a cheap foil pan (about a buck, in the baking area of your store). clean bird and cover breast in butter salt/pepper cook first 1/2 hour uncovered at 425 cover with tin foil and reduce heat to 350. follow time on package. about 3-4hrs depending on how many pound.
