What is the Best Cookbook?
What IS the best cookbook, not any specific food kinds but a variety from every meal, colored pictures help, with easy instructions. If you’ve used it tell me why you like it.
I think the Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook is the best all around one. The one with the red and white checkered cover. I received one for a wedding present in 1964 and it was my bible in the kitchen! It was much more helpful than the Betty Crocker cookbook or any of the dozen or so others I received. It’s chock full of Great Recipes, but what I found most helpful as a new cook were all the tips, techniques and explanation of cooking terms. It has lots of great pictures, too!
