Is there any type of stainless steel which does not attract a magnet?
I recently purchased a supposedly stainless steel braclet on eBay, but when I checked to see if he was attracted by a magnet, it was not. I used the magnet to verify that it really was stainless steel. I always thought stainless steel would be attracted to a magnet. Helmut mentioned that the series attracted 300 with ease. It does not mean easy, or just, or what?
Stainless steels 300 – series are not easily attracted by a magnet. The Series 400 are strongly attracted to a magnet.
