What do I put in my classroom to complete a full VIP?
I am a teacher of 7th grade special education. I'm tired of my students this is wrong because they have learning difficulties. I want my students to feel like a VIP I decorate my classroom with a full VIP, and am having problems to get ideas on what to put in the room. I have to remember that I am a teacher in a teacher's budget. Cheaper is better. Thanks for your help.
What a beautiful idea! I think maybe you could make the classroom all over them. Maybe give each a space that is theirs and say they can do what I want with it, provided it stays within certain limits (all schools have rules …). Permit them in certain things that represent them. Nothing makes a kid feel more important to tell them they are amazing just because they are what they are. Another thing you can do is make a collage of students, a birthday party month (bring cakes and a cake that you make at home … or if they have parent volunteers, one of them to bring something for a monthly party). If a child's birthday not during the school year begins the year with the celebration of his birthday, or end them. These are just some of my thoughts. Good Luck!
