I need the best solution to the diet to Lose Weight?

I am a size 14 women and want to go down to a size 10, weight 158 pounds. I lose about 25 pounds. What do you think of eating oatmeal for breakfast, a salad for lunch and a piece of meat (chicken breast or fish) with some vegetables. Of course I'm going to chop nuts and a piece of fruit between meals and drink plenty of water. Will I succeed in lose weight after this type of diet.
