Is there a Cookbook that can truly serve as a planner?
Ok, I am the worst cook and meal-planner person you can find… well, not that bad, but I am pretty bad at figuring out what to make for dinner and cooking it; so I was wondering (aka daydreaming) if there’s a cookbook that functions as a weekly planner. Maybe something like this:
- Simple, with regular, non over-the-top or expensive ingredients that can be found at any grocery store.
- With meal plans for the week.
- And hopefully with weekly shopping lists included. But obviously this is not that crucial because I can make my own list if I already have meals plan for the week.
It would be great if it includes lunch and dinner menus, but I guess even if it’s just dinners would help me a lot.
Please let me know if you have seen and/or used something like this. I would prefer to have an actual cookbook instead of going to a website, but of course all help is appreciated.

Menu planning is an art and takes some people a lifetime to figure it out.
I use the South Beach cookbooks and follow the suggestions for phase 2 of the diet. It works rather well for getting a balanced food plan on the table that a multitude of age groups can and will eat. You can use it for groups, holidays, or just one person if that is what you need.
