Pagan Anti-movies? (or anti-feminist films)?
I just saw the new version of "Wicker Man" and was even worse than the original … This new version specifically targets feminists, non-Christians, and single mothers as completely wrong … Are there other films with this type of subliminal images that you can think of – I will write a document. I guess what I'm looking for things like in The Wizard of Oz … Ms. Gulch (played by Margaret Hamilton) is seen as a woman "perverse" that lives around the corner and hates dogs … But at the same time is also perceived as a single woman it is very arrogant because riding a bike – something that decent women were not used yet … Later in the film refer to it as the Wicked Witch … Ms. Gulch is also dressed in accordance with the archetype of a strict schoolteacher – who evokes "the ills of higher education"
I find Disney films to be filled with anti-feminist imagery. Belle in Beauty and the Beast is abused by the Beast, is equal to his father. She is isolated, locked in a room and told her, "starving". She screamed and insults. However, sets with this reign of terror and eventually becomes a prince. This seems metaphorical of a relationship with an abusive man and a feeling battered wife who is her fault if she was a better wife then I could Another change is the Little Mermaid, who gives his voice to a man. These two films are shown again and again to young children and girls, particularly idolize and emulate these two women characters. To me this is a brainwashing. Hope this helps.
