What city in Arizona has a good climate all year round?
I live in Wisconsin, my family and I are planning to move to Arizona. We want to get away of snow and 15 below winters. Good place to go with a girl of 13 years and save place to live. It's also good year round climate.
I grew up in Gilbert, Arizona. It was great, a nice environment to raise children in, many housing developments that do not appear to be well down. Their about 20 miles outside of Phoenix. If you live near Old Town Gilbert "(so named because they have most of the original" Old West " no buildings) between 5 and 7 miles from two different centers (ideal for when 13 is more and wants to be with friends) There are parks everywhere. If you have dogs Gilbert Cosmo Dog Park, was named Best Dog Park in 2007. At this time the weather is nice, most of the winter you can just open the doors and windows during the day and let cool of the house. At night, we just shut down and activate the fans (not really necessary to run the heat). The only part that does not like to live here is that the summers are (obviously) very very hot. Its not a dry heat, such claims at all, but is not as sticky as some cities I've vacationed in Just learn to work around it. For example, the time for a walk or let the children run and play during the summer would be about before10 am and after 6pm. During early mid-afternoon the sun is very high and runs the risk of sunburn and dehydration if you do not know what you're doing. It's also just damn uncomfortable to be outside when its hot. My suggestion is to follow all the Gilbert, Queen Creek, Chandler area when looking for a home here. Town of Queen Creek (Gilbert neighbors) have a lot New construction of housing prices becomes a murderer. Hope this helps!
